On Sunday, June 18th, in a ceremony attended by members of the Goldberg family, friends and representatives from the diamond industry, the City of New York paid tribute to the late William Goldberg by renaming 48th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue as "William Goldberg Way".  Keynote speaker at the event, United States Senator Charles E. Schumer, described his many fond memories and his close personal relationship with the late William Goldberg.
